Holshouser Encourages All Delegates to Vote For Fetzer
Believes Former Raleigh Mayor Is Best To Pull GOP Together

Former Governor James E. Holshouser today encouraged all delegates to vote for Tom Fetzer for NCGOP Chairman.  Holshouser, a former NCGOP Chairman and legislator who was elected North Carolina's first Republican Governor since Reconstruction, touted Fetzer's ability to unite North Carolina Republicans in meeting the Party's challenges ahead.

Governor James Holshouser"Republicans have many important races in 2009 and 2010, and our Party must be united to be victorious," Holshouser remarked.  "I support Tom Fetzer for State Chairman because I know Tom will pull the Party together and provide excellent leadership in helping Republicans win during the next two years."

Raleigh, NC - In the wake of the North Carolina House's planned $800 million tax increase, Tom Fetzer, Conservative Republican candidate for NCGOP Chairman, offered harsh words for the Liberal Democratic House
Leadership.

"The Liberals have run North Carolina's state government into the ground with their incredibly wasteful spending.  Now, they want working taxpayers to bail them out with an enormous tax increase which they plan to pass in the dead of night.  I say enough is enough!

Grassroots Party Officers Overwhelmingly Endorse
Tom Fetzer For NCGOP Chairman

Dear Republican Friend:

I am very honored to announce the support of so many strong conservative grassroots leaders from across our great state! I look forward to seeing you all at the NCGOP Convention this weekend, and I ask you for your vote on Saturday.

Here are a few quotes from these conservative activists:

"We believe in your proven ability to run against and defeat entrenched Democrats, your ability to be the most effective spokesperson for Republicans statewide, and the inarguable fact that you know how to raise the type of serious money we will need going forward," said Robert Danos and Andrew Riddle, Chairman & Vice-Chairman Henderson County GOP.

"I have listened to all campaigns for months and have chosen to support Tom Fetzer for NC GOP State Chairman based on his proven abilities to lead our party into the future. This is not a time to speculate on predicted abilities," stated Tony Wilkins, Executive Director Guilford County GOP.

Guilford's Wilkins endorses Fetzer

The importance of the role of State Chairman of the NC GOP is unprecedented.

I have listened to all campaigns for months and have chosen to support Tom Fetzer for NC GOP State Chairman based on his proven abilities to lead our party into the future. This is not a time to speculate on predicted abilities.

Tom Fetzer's fund raising background appears to be far superior to other candidates. Fetzer's resume includes three terms as mayor of Raleigh in which he raised over ten times the average campaign chest each election. Tom raised nearly a million dollars in a congressional race. His list of endorsements emerges to be a who's who of the leaders of our party including three former State Chairs and a former Governor.

We're fortunate to have four excellent candidates eager to lead including a local candidate who is conservative to the core. It is my opinion that Tom Fetzer is the best choice to motivate and rejuvenate our party to a position of prominence in North Carolina.

As a Guilford County delegate I will proudly cast my vote for Tom Fetzer.

Tony Wilkins
Executive Director
Guilford County Republican Party

Dear Republican Friend:

I was infuriated when I read that Julia Boseman was the only member of the General Assembly who voted against the resolution honoring Senator Jesse Helms yesterday.

Tom Fetzer & Sen. Jesse HelmsI'm quite certain that many members of the General Assembly disagreed with Senator Helms on certain issues but nevertheless admired the honorable manner in which he served our state.

Jesse never became part of the Washington establishment, despite spending 30 years there.  He never forgot that his job was to represent the good people of North Carolina and he never failed to do just that.

Patriots,

The link below is for the Bill LuMaye Radio Show on Talk Radio WPTF, Raleigh.  The show was broadcast on Tuesday afternoon.  Tom Fetzer, candidate for chairman of the N. C. Republican Party, was Bill's special guest.  Chad Adams was invited but declined to appear.
