I believe city officials can be recalled in NC, but not county or state.

Our NC State Constitution could use some attention. The ability to recall members of our Federal Congressional Delegation should be part of the list of changes to be made.

Of course, I believe we should repeal the 17th Amendment, which established that US Senators would be elected by popular vote. Before the 17th Amendment, US Senators were selected by the State's Legislature. If US Senators were selected by our General Assembly, then perhaps people would pay more attention to who they sent to Raleigh. Also, the US Senators would have more of a connection to the concerns of the State they were elected to represent.

Repeal the 16th and 17th amendments in that order.

It looks like Obama will use reconciliation to pass the health care bill. What can be done to put pressure on Kay Hagan to vote against it or is it a lost cause with this moron???? smilies/cry.gif

As said above she is impossible to contact. I have only received a boiler plate response that had nothing to do with what I wrote to her about. She is a the worst!

http://hagan.senate.gov/

Her Phone: 202-224-6342 (DC)

Raleigh Phone: 919-856-4630

Another option is FAX. You could stand there and fax the same thing over and over all day long. Change the message a couple of times. If I had a fax, I would!!!

Fax #'s 202-228-2563, Fax: 919-856-4053, 336-333-5331, 704-334-2405, 828-257-6514

I have already gotten so ticked off this morning I can't see straight!!

Whoever is reading these today, make sure you do one thing and call someone in congress or post something somewhere to just make your voices heard.

Just so you know, there are places online where you can fax from your computer. Just google it! Also, FAIR (fairus.org) has a service that helps you fax your Senators and Reps. Ask Hagan if illegal aliens will be given coverage under the proposal!
