Harold Johnson for Congress has joined ConservativeNC.  Harold, a 30-year veteran of WSOC, was known to thousands in the Charlotte area as "The Big Guy" and was the sports achor and director for the channel.  

 Johnson is running for Congress because "What I'm seeing here in Washington, this isn't the America I know... You can sit back and shake your head or stand up and say, this is not right."

Johnson is a proud former Marine and was discharged honorably.  He has 3 children and 9 grandchildren, all of whom live in North Carolina.

Johnson is running for Congress to be a real Representative of the 8th district.  While not commenting directly on the current Representative, he says "The bottom line, when you look at the unemployment rate in the district and the empty plants, somebody's not working hard enough."
