If I recall correct, legislative Republicans made proposals recently that would cut more than $900 million from the state budget. Some of those proposals are in this list of bills sent by Hackney and Basnight to die in committee.
Now Robber Bev wants to raise taxes in the middle of a deep recession, but won't urge her former colleagues in the General Assembly to at least give Republican spending cuts a fair hearing. Conservatives need to push this message to each and every one of our cogent neighbors. Then we need to find a conservative to run in every legislative district in the state and get out and support their campaigns. 2010 is not that far off. The time to start is now. Recruit candidates. Raise money. Win elections. That's change you could believe in.
